Autonomous Data Operations

Tell ASTRO the outcome. It plans and coordinates the work.

ASTRO turns a business outcome into a dependency-aware plan, assigns specialized agents, observes execution and adapts when something fails.

How it works

Watch ASTRO plan and adapt a supplier onboarding outcome

The plan is organized into waves of parallel work. Select any task to simulate a failure; only its dependents pause. Then let ASTRO adapt the plan.

The capability

Orchestration is the difference between AI features and autonomous operations

Individual AI features classify, enrich or map one thing at a time, and someone still has to sequence them, check results and handle failures. ASTRO is the orchestration layer that does that coordination.

Given an outcome such as making a supplier's new items ready for a channel, ASTRO determines the work required, orders it by dependency, assigns specialized agents and runs independent tasks in parallel. It observes progress, and when a task fails it pauses only the work that depends on it, adapts the plan and continues.

Completion is defined by the outcome, not by tasks finishing. ASTRO verifies results against the policies and readiness rules that define success, and reports evidence alongside any exceptions that need a person.

Functional capabilities

What ASTRO Orchestration includes

Agent Library and named versions
Inspect an agent's requirements, reads, effects and approval points. Create, copy or archive named versions and pin the chosen version to a Mission Stage.
Conversational direction
Ask ASTRO about your enterprise data and turn findings into a proposed action or Mission. Tool calls respect the permissions of the person asking.
Dependency planning
Order tasks by dependency and run independent work in parallel.
Agent coordination
Assign specialized agents for intake, mapping, classification, enrichment and validation.
Operational oversight
Mission Control brings run progress, recorded decisions and a Needs-you queue together, so people can see what is running and what requires judgment.
Adaptation
Isolate failures, reroute work and continue without restarting.
Outcome verification
Confirm results against readiness rules and report evidence. AI proposals carry provenance and field-level differences for review rather than only a completion message.

Problems it solves

Where this work usually breaks down

01

AI features in isolation

Each tool works, but people still coordinate the sequence.

02

One failure stops everything

A batch fails and the whole job is rerun.

03

Done is not verified

Jobs complete without anyone confirming the outcome was achieved.

04

No operational visibility

Teams cannot see what is running, waiting or blocked.

Autonomous operations

How autonomous execution changes astro orchestration

ASTRO is the coordination layer for autonomous execution; people define outcomes, policies and approvals.

Agents carry out

  • Plan work from the outcome
  • Coordinate specialized agents
  • Adapt to failures
  • Verify the outcome

People decide

  • Define outcomes and deadlines
  • Set policies and authority
  • Resolve escalated exceptions

Evidence recorded

  • Plan and adaptations
  • Agent actions and results
  • Verification against rules

In industrial operations

A distributor adds a new supplier line before a sales event

Onboarding a supplier's catalog normally required a coordinator to sequence mapping, classification, enrichment and validation across several teams.

  1. The category manager states the outcome and deadline.
  2. ASTRO plans and assigns agents.
  3. Image matching fails for a batch and only validation waits.
  4. ASTRO reroutes, verifies readiness and reports exceptions.

Result: The team reviews exceptions and evidence instead of coordinating each step.

Buyer FAQs

Questions evaluators ask

Can teams control which agent version a Mission uses?

Yes. The Agent Library documents requirements, reads and effects, execution chains, approval points and a performance ledger from real runs. Teams create, copy and archive named versions with their own settings, direction and knowledge, then pin a version per Mission Stage. Platform-provided versions are copied to edit rather than overwritten.

How is ASTRO different from individual AI features?

Features perform one task. ASTRO decides which tasks are needed, sequences them, coordinates agents and verifies the outcome.

Can ASTRO act without approval?

Only within the authority and policies you configure. Approvals and stop conditions are defined per mission.

What happens when a task fails?

Dependent work pauses, independent work continues and the plan adapts or escalates.

How do we know the outcome was achieved?

ASTRO verifies results against readiness and validation rules and reports evidence.

Which models power the agents?

Model selection and data handling are confirmed during evaluation.
